TWO YOUNG OFFENDERS IN CUSTODY

Two 16 year old young offenders just didn't get the message from the judge. At about 2:00 a.m. this morning Sault Ste Marie OPP arrested the two males after they were found walking on the highway in Heyden.
Patrol officers discovered that the two are on probation. By being out at this time of the morning and being with each other, they were in violation of their court orders. Both will appear in Sault Ste Marie bail court this afternoon.
BUSH WORKERS INJURED
Batchawana, Ont.
Two bush workers were sent to hospital with life threatening injuries after a branch fell on one of them.
Twenty six year old Joseph Pepin, of Sault Ste Marie, was working deep in the bush behind Batchawana when a branch from a nearby tree fell on his head. A second worker in the area ran a considerable distance to call for an ambulance. The ambulance arrived and took Pepin to Sault and Area Hospitals were he was treated for non life threatening head injuries and rele
