All In A Day's Work!

Sault Ste Marie OPP investigated a series of routine calls for service over the past 24 hours.

Officers were called to several homes where guests had overstayed their welcome and wouldn’t leave. Alcohol was the major contributing factor in these situations. Some guests were offered transportation while others were allowed to remain asleep in the same spot and position where they passed out.

Officers responded to several driving complaints throughout our detachment area. Some of the motorist made good their escape while two others were offered some roadside advise on safe and mild manner driving techniques that would help prevent further roadside meetings with other officers.

At about 10:30 p.m. last night one man was advised that continually phoning an estranged female acquaintance was not only really annoying but also contrary to the Criminal Code. Once again alcohol consumption appears to have been the fuel that impaired the mans ability to understand what “NO” really meant. A heart to heart conversation with one of our officers appears to have ended any further telephone calls.
