AWERES TOWNSHIP - On Apr. 27, 2017 at approximately 8:30 pm Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and a car on Highway 17 north on the Mile Hill.
A tractor trailer travelling southbound towards Sault Ste. Marie lost traction on icy roads and began to slide backwards down the Mile Hill sideswiping the car behind it. The tractor trailer then became jackknifed across the highway.
There were no injuries reported. Both vehicles were towed.
