SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION LEAVES ONE MAN DEAD

Garden River First Nation, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating a single vehicle collision on the Garden River First Nation Territory that has left one man dead.

At about 6:30 p.m. last night a pick up truck was westbound on Echo River Rd on the Garden River First Nation Territory. The truck was rounding a bend when the driver lost control, rolled over and sheared off a utility pole.

The driver was transported to Sault and Area Hospital were he died as a result of his injuries.

The driver was a 54 year old man from the Algoma District. His name will be released later today when all family members are notified.

This investigation is continuing today.
