Mission Road Break and Enter

Batchewana First Nation Police are investigating a break and enter to a seasonal residence on the Mission Road. The thief entered the main cottage through a living room window. Once inside this ne’er-do-well took stock of things and then loaded up on a variety of tools. A blue Master Craft skill saw, a Craftsman drill, drill bits in a blue case and a blue coloured chop saw are all missing. In addition, a grey steel toolbox containing various hand tools has also disappeared.

A second smaller building, located on the property was also entered. Apparently nothing of interest was noted by the bandit and although thoroughly checked nothing was reported as missing.

A suspect vehicle was noticed in the driveway to the cottage around 11:30 P.M. on the 29th of August 2005. Police are now looking for a large, white older model car with a red top.

Is this Your Bike?

Are you missing a bicycle? Are you missing a silver and purple 18-speed bicycle? Is the bicycle you are missing a girl’s model? We have one and if the owner can provide other pertinent information regarding this bike we will gladly return it. The bike was discovered in the men’s washroom at the Environmental Centre in Echo Bay. It had apparently been languishing away there for the past week. Fear not no explanation is required as to its location.
