Yesterday, police executed a search warrant on a Laird Township residence. Five Marihuana plants were seized at the residence along with several harvested Marihuana stocks and a firearm.

The suspect, who was not at home at he time, was located in the Sault early this morning when he was arrested. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had stashed a large quantity of Marihuana in a Cathcart Street apartment.

Police seized 12 pounds with a street value of about $100,000. The suspect is in custody where he will be formally charged with a variety of drug related and weapons offences. He has been remanded into custody until a bail hearing at a later date.
