FALSE ALARM
Yesterday was a quiet day on the crime-fighting scene for the Sault O.P.P. The only significant call was receive at 1:30 this morning. A call to the O.P.P. reported that someone was lying beside the roadway on Hwy 556 near the Northland Lake Railway crossing on the way to Searchmont.

The caller indicated the person appeared to be dead. The O.P.P., ambulance service and fire departments checked a long stretch of the highway but couldn't locate anyone in the area.
