NO INJURIES IN SCHOOL BUS COLLISION
Garden River, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a three vehicle collision involving a school bus yesterday morning.

At about 8:00 a.m. yesterday a school bus was stopped on Hwy 17 in Garden River and was just about to pick up several children. The second vehicle was stopped behind the bus. A third vehicle was coming along the highway and struck the second vehicle. The second vehicle was then pushed into the back of the school bus.

No one was injured in the collision. A second bus was dispatched to pick up the children. The two other vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

A charge of Careless Driving Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act was laid against the sixty seven year old Myrta Rivers of Desbarts.


INJURIES IN TRANSPORT ROLLOVER
Garden River, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to Hwy 17 in Garden River again yesterday afternoon after a transport truck left the highway and rolled onto it's side.

At about 1:00 p.m. yesterday the truck was eastbound on Hwy 17 about 3 kms east of the Echo River Bridge. Witnesses indicate that the truck had been weaving across all lanes prior to the collision.

The truck left the roadway and rolled onto it's side in the ditch. The Echo Bay Fire Department and Ambulance attended the scene.

The driver of the truck, fifty six year old James Grexton of Calgary Alberta, has been admitted to Sault and Area Hospital. Police are investigating the possibility the driver may have had a prior medical condition that may have attributed to this collision

The truck was carrying a load of furniture. This investigation is still ongoing.
