Police Request Assistance (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP is requesting your assistance in regards to a motor vehicle collision report. On March 29th, 2005 at approximately 9:00 a.m. a vehicle pulled into 151 Hillside Drive North in Elliot Lake.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The OPP is requesting your assistance in regards to a motor vehicle collision report.

On March 29th, 2005 at approximately 9:00 a.m. a vehicle pulled into 151 Hillside Drive North in Elliot Lake. For unknown reasons the driver ended up driving off the platform down a small embankment coming to rest against a wall near a sandbox. According to witnesses the vehicle sustained damage to the front end and a passerby assisted the driver by pulling the vehicle out.

Police are asking the driver or any one with any information to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers.

Adult Domestic

Heyden, Ont., Officers with the Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a Heyden home this morning for a non violent marital dispute.

One of the involved parties had left the home earlier in the evening to attend another area home. The partner had certain concerns about the second spouse and attended the home and both returned to their own house.

A verbal disagreement ensued and as a result of that disagreement police were called to the home at about 1:30a.m. this morning. Officers determined that there were no acts of violence in this incident. Both parties agreed to not discuss this issue further until sober thoughts prevailed. Police were not called back to the home.

Kids Fighting

Batchawana First Nation, Ont., Officers with the Batchawana First Nation Police Service were called to two homes on the territory yesterday after two calls about children threatening harm to each other.

Officers attended the respective homes to find that in both circumstances the children had been involved in lengthy ongoing disputes with each other. Threats of harm to each other along with certain non-violent actions had been going on both on the territory and at area schools.
