Beware of 'You Are A Winner!'

(East Algoma – Thessalon) The East Algoma – Thessalon OPP are currently investigating a complaint involving a citizen receiving numerous letters advising them that they are CASH WINNERS.

The letters state that the mail recipient has won anywhere from $500,000 to $1,000,000 dollars. To date five letters have been received in the area. All of the letters are requesting that the recipient send money first before they can receive the cash prize. The letters were received from the United States. The return addresses include cities in Nevada and Missouri.

The OPP wants to remind area citizens to be wary of letters stating that you have won a large amount of money. Do not send any money or give any further information.

REMEMBER IF IT LOOKS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT LIKELY IS!!!
