An early morning collision on Hwy 17 east of Sault Ste Marie resulted in one vehicle ending up in the center of the highway until a tow truck removed it.

At about 7:00 a.m. yesterday morning a Sault Ste Marie man was traveling west on Hwy 17 in the four lane section of Laird Twp. He was attempting to pass another vehicle when he lost control of his car. The car slid down the shoulder of the roadway and into the ditch.

The lone driver was not injured and is no longer in such a hurry to get to his destination. No charges were laid in this investigation.
