ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED
Goulais River, Ont.,

Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. has charged the driver of an all terrain vehicle with Impaired Driving.

Yesterday at about 1:30 p.m. an officer checked two all terrain vehicles near Hwy 17 in the Batchawana area. The officer detected an odour of alcohol on one of the drivers' breath and had the operator conduct a roadside breath test.

The driver failed the roadside test and was arrested for driving over the legal limit. He was returned to the Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. detachment where a Breathalyzer test was conducted, which the driver also failed.

21-year-old Spencer McLean of Hwy 563 in Batchawana has been charged with Driving while having a Blood Alcohol Limit Over .08 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in court in July to answer to this charge.
