MISCHIEF IN GOULAIS RIVER

A Goulais River resident in the 700 block of Highway 552 West woke up yesterday morning to find that her Jeep was egged overnight by some mischievous youths. There is nothing worse than trying to clean dried up egg that has been basking in the sun for hours off of a vehicle. Although to these youths it may have been a funny thing to do, it is an offence under the Criminal Code of Canada.

ANOTHER DRIVER PICKED UP FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING

While investigating an occurrence in the Harmony Beach area, an officer with a keen eye observed a red pick up truck that displayed signs of impairment. The officer followed the vehicle on Highway 17 North and eventually stopped the driver. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and brought to the detachment for breath tests.

Seventy two year old Thomas Vanbridger of Goulais River has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 Mgs.

He will appear in court in early August to answer to his charges.
