SAULT STE. MARIE DETACHMENT
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Yesterday at 3:20 p.m., police were called to an address in Goulais River regarding a domestic assault. The victim received minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Charged with assault and breach of probation is Victor McLeish, age 26, of Sault Ste. Marie. McLeish was held in custody and will appear in bail court today.
PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT
Police were called to the Pit Stop Gas Bar in Echo Bay at 5:25 p.m. yesterday when a gas station attendant became pinned between two vehicles. The driver of a pick-up attempting to back up inadvertently pinned the attendant between his vehicle and another that was being fuelled. The attendant was transported to Sault Area Hospitals with an unknown leg injury. The investigation is continuing.
