The Sault O.P.P. has concluded the investigation into the accident that sent a 3-year-old boy to Sault and Area Hospital. 3-year-old Tyler See of Goulais River was walking on the shoulder of Haviland Shores Drive. Tyler slipped the grip of his caregiver and ran into the path of a car.

The car driver, 71-year-old Norwell Mills of Goulais River was slowing to make a turn into a nearby business and was unable to avoid hitting the boy.

Tyler remains in stable condition in hospital. The O.P.P. will not be laying any charges.


ACCIDENT BRINGS IMPAIRED CHARGE
Haviland Township

On Tuesday at 8:00 p.m., Sault O.P.P. officers investigated a two-vehicle accident on Highway 17, Haviland Twp. A Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Kimberly Gaber of Haviland Shores Drive was attempting to turn left when she struck an oncoming southbound pick-up truck pulling a small utility trailer.

Both vehicles received minor damage. Gaber was charged with having care and control of a vehicle while over 80mg.

Tydall Mill Road

Sault O.P.P. is currently investigating a residential break and enter at Rydall Mill Road in Laird Twp. Yesterday, unknown persons entered a residence by kicking a side door open. A undisclosed quantity of jewellery was removed. If you have any information, you are asked to contact police.


VEHICLE-MOOSE ACCIDENT
Herrick Twp.

Yesterday at 10:50 p.m., Sault O.P.P. investigated an accident on Highway 17 involving a tractor-trailer and a moose. The truck travelling north struck a moose that crossed from the west side. The truck received moderate damage.
