On the 6th of September 2003 at 6:30 am, Sault OPP officers responded to a report of a deceased male. Officers attended at a residence in Rupert Acres Trailer Park and located the deceased male.
On the 6th of September 2003 at 6:30 am, Sault OPP officers responded to a report of a deceased male. Officers attended at a residence in Rupert Acres Trailer Park and located the deceased male. The name of the 71 year old subject is not being released pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy was not ordered by the Coroner and foul play is not suspected.

On September 6th, 2003 at 10:21 pm, Sault OPP officers responded along with Sault Ambulance and Batchawana First Response to a report of a female who had gone swimming in Batchawana Bay and failed to return. Units attended the scene and a search was initiated. The lone swimmer had been caught in current and taken down the shoreline. After 40 minutes in the water she became disorientated and yelled for help. Local residents responded in a canoe and she was pulled from the water and brought back to shore. Siobhan Fyfe 36 years of Sault Ste. Marie was treated for mild hypothermia by paramedics and released.
