FATAL ACCIDENT UPDATE
Thessalon
The Thessalon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have released the name of the deceased from the motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 17 approximately 15 kilometers east of The Town of Thessalon on Friday.
Gary Alexander STEVENS (55 yrs) of 2 Max’s Road in Blind River was pronounced dead at the Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste Marie as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
A post-mortem examination will be held on Monday in Sault Ste Marie in an effort to determine the cause of death.
There were no other injuries as a result of this incident.
