Woman faces fail to comply charges (update: charges withdrawn)

ST JOSEPH TOWNSHIP - On Oct. 19, 2017, shortly after 2 p.m., members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex on Catherine Street in St. Joseph Township.

A female had been squatting in an apartment unit complex and was being evicted by the landlord. An argument ensued between the female and the landlord. The female was on conditions to not communicate with the landlord from a previous incident that occurred on Oct. 3, 2017. 

As a result of the investigation, [charges withdrawn], from St Joseph Township, Ont., was charged with fail to comply with conditions of undertaking, contrary to 145(5.1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Video Bail in Blind River on Oct. 20, 2017 and was released on a recognizance of bail.
