DOG SHOT ATTACKING CATTLE A farmer on Hwy 552 in Goulais River shot and killed one of two dogs that he found attacking his cattle early this morning. At about 1:30, police were called to the farm to assist the farmer in locating the second dog.

A farmer on Hwy 552 in Goulais River shot and killed one of two dogs that he found attacking his cattle early this morning.

At about 1:30, police were called to the farm to assist the farmer in locating the second dog. The farmer awoke to the noise of something bothering his cattle and discovered two dogs attacking three calves. One dog was shot and the second fled into the bush.

OPP searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the animal. An investigation is underway to determine the owners of the dogs.


THREE ARRESTS FROM PARTY COMPAINTS
Police were called to a home on the Rankin First Nations Reserve for alleged problems at a house party. Three teenagers, all under the age of 18, were arrested for drinking under age. All three spent the night in jail and were released this morning.

The Batchewana First Nation Police are continuing the investigation this morning into further allegations of assaults at the party.
