RIDE CHECKS
The O.P.P. conducted RIDE checks in the Echo Bay area last night. 100 vehicles were checked with one 12-hour suspension and two Liquor Licence Act charges laid. Sporadic RIDE checks will continue north and east of the Sault over the next several weeks.

BEARS IN ECHO BAY
The O.P.P. has received many complaints from concerned residents of the Church and Lake Street areas of Echo Bay. A juvenile bear has been wandering close to homes and showing little fear as it looks for food. The O.P.P. is requesting residents to ensure their garbage is not available for the bears to snack on.
