ALL'S QUIET IN THE SAULT DISTRICT
Although the O.P.P. has been kept busy with traffic accidents in other parts of Northern Ontario, the Sault district has been very quiet. The Sault detachment of the O.P.P. has nothing to report.
FIGHT AT SCHOOL NETS ASSAULT CHARGES
On Wednesday, at 12:00 noon, the East Algoma O.P.P. was called to the Central Algoma Secondary School in Desbarats regarding a fight on school property.
The male victim age 14, sustained head injuries including a swollen nose and lip, bruises and cuts to his left ear.
As a result, one 16-year-old male young offender has been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm under the criminal code. The accused was arrested and released on a promise to appear in Thessalon court on December 5th.
