FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION
Espanola, Ont.
Two people died as two vehicles collided head-on last night at 10:00 p.m. near Espanola, Ontario. Deceased are 40-year-old Donald Armstrong of Val Caron and his cousin, 38-year-old Rolly Armstrong of Levack.
The collision occurred on Highway 17, approximately 6 kms east of Highway 6, Baldwin Township near Jackelin Road.
A lone female occupant of the second vehicle received injuries and remains in hospital in stable condition. Highway 17 was closed for about 4.5 hours last night as O.P.P. investigated.
The Armstrong vehicle was a 1997 Ford Taurus. The second car was a Chrysler Neon.
