Reports of suspected impaired driver leads police to stolen vehicle, OPP say

Both accused are from Barrie, as is the alleged stolen vehicle

Reports of a possible impaired driver in Thessalon lead police to a stolen vehicle from Barrie, OPP say.

On Friday shortly after 1:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a possible impaired driver that was sleeping with the car idling on Dunn Farm Trail (off Melwel Rd.) in the Municipality of Huron Shores.

Upon further investigation, police found the vehicle was stolen from Barrie.

As a result, both occupants of the vehicle were arrested.

Phillip Henry, 39, and Kelli Bosteder, 42, both of Barrie, were charged with possession property obtained by crime under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Nov. 5, 2020.
