GUNS STOLEN IN BREAK AND ENTER

Sault Ste. Marie OPP is investigating the theft of handguns from a home in Laird Township over the weekend.

Sometime on Friday evening thieves forced their way into a home in Laird Twp and stole a quantity of handguns. The culprits caused extensive damage to the home. None of the handguns have been recovered.


GOULAIS RIVER BREAK AND ENTER
Goulais River, Ont.,

Thieves targeted two outboard boat motors in four break and enters in the Goulais River area over the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon police were called to the Witry Road area of Goulais River to investigate several break and enters into seasonal homes in that area. The suspects forced their way into three homes. So far the owners have been able to determine that two outboard boat motors have been stolen from the area.


R.I.D.E. CHECK PRODUCES ONE 12-HOUR SUSPENSION
Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP conducted another R.I.D.E. check at the east city limit on Saturday night.

Officers check 168 vehicles in less than one hour. Three roadside breath tests were issued and one driver received a 12-hour drivers licence suspension.
