SLOW MOVING DRIVER ENDS IN IMPAIRED CHARGES

A vehicle traveling at a very slow speed and in the wrong lanes turned out to be an impaired driver

At 1:00 am on Saturday morning a vehicle was southbound on Hwy 17 in the Mile Hill area of Heyden. The vehicle was traveling at less than 40 km/h in the 90 km/h zone. The driver appeared to be having difficultly in keeping on the pavement and was traveling on the shoulder of the roadway.

The car was pulled over and the driver was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving. 46-year-old Karen Martin of Sault Ste Marie is charged with Impaired driving and will appear in Sault Ste Marie court in November.

Ms. Martin is was also charged with having open liquor in her car.
