A sixteen year old Batchawana youth will appear in bail court after he came home drunk and started fighting with his parent.

At about midnight last night the youth arrived at his parents house on the Batchawana First Nation in Sault Ste Marie. The youth was under the influence of alcohol and an argument with his father quickly ensued. The argument quickly turned to violence and the two got into a fight.

Members of the Batchawana First Nation Police attended and arrested the youth for breach of probation. The sixteen year old boy is on a probation order with many conditions. He will appear in Sault Ste Marie bail court this afternoon.

WEEKEND HOUSE PARTY RESULTS IN LIQOUR CHARGES

A party at an Echo Bay home has resulted in charges against four local people.

Officers from Sault Ste Marie OPP were patrolling Church Street in Echo Bay late Saturday night and into Sunday morning when they found young people walking the streets of the town with open beer.

Four people ranging in age from sixteen to twenty two were charged with liquor offences. At about 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning officers found two of these charges after seeing two people walking down the street carrying a canoe. They also had an open bottle of beer in the other hand.
