Weather Causes Three Crashes

Sault Ste Marie, Ont., Motorist traveling in the Sault Ste Marie area this weekend experienced just about every miserable driving condition that you could expect at this time of the year.

Drivers experienced freezing rain, high winds, snow and slush. Highway 17 north of Sault Ste Marie, between Batchawana and Wawa, was closed most of Sunday and has just re-opened for traffic in both direction.

Sault Ste Marie OPP report only three weather related crashes over the weekend. All three were single vehicle collisions and only two needed tow trucks to remove the vehicles. No one was injured in any of the crashes. Once again, just like we have always told everyone, SLOW DOWN IN POOR WEATHER. (I am sure I will be repeating that little safety tip many times before next spring ! )
