I’LL JUST MAKE A “QUICK” RUN TO THE BEER STORE….
Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.,

A Sault Ste. Marie man may want to consider a delivery service after he was charged with Impaired Driving over the weekend.

On Saturday at about 9:30 p.m. officers with the Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. were traveling south on Great Northern Road in an unmarked cruiser. A pick-up truck passed the cruiser on the right and continued to increase its speed.

The truck reached speeds of 105 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. The vehicle was pulled over and the driver showed signs that he had been drinking. When asked where he was going so fast he stated that he has headed for the beer store. The driver was taken to the police station for breathalyzer tests, which he failed.

Charged with Impaired Driving is 31-year-old Luke McCoy of Sault Ste. Marie. He will appear in court in late April.
