Be advised that Highway 17 North of Sault Ste. Marie has been reopened as of 2:35 this morning. The O.P.P. had closed the highway yesterday evening from Batchwana Bay (70km north of the Sault) to 4km south of Wawa due to weather conditions.

STOLEN SNOW MACHINE RECOVERED

On January 8th, Sault O.P.P. investigated the theft of a 1996 Polaris Indy from the Rupert Acres Trailer Park in Heyden. Yesterday, police arrested Tom Pine of the Beaumont Trailer Park in Heyden and have charged him with the snow machine theft. His court appearance will be on March 10.
