Duncan Twp, Ont.The search for a missing Sault Ste Marie man continued in full force over the weekend in a township just northeast of the City of Sault Ste Marie.

Thirty year old Stacy DILENARDI of Sault Ste Marie was last seen on 28 November 2005. He car was located, abandoned, on a bush road in Duncan Twp just north and east of the City of Sault Ste Marie city limits.

A ground search of the area has been underway in that area since late in the evening of Wednesday 30 November 2005. As many as forty searchers with Sault Search and Rescue and the OPP Emergency Response Team have been in the area searching up to last night.

A decision to scale down the search for the thirty year old man was made at the conclusion of last night’s search activities. The search of the area will continue today using four specialize search dogs. The public is still being encouraged to keep observation for Mr. Dilenardi around the city and surrounding area.

Joint R.I.D.E. Nabs One Impaired Driver

Sault Ste Marie, Ont., A joint R.I.D.E. spot check with the Sault Ste Marie City Police and the OPP Traffic and Marine Unit resulted in an OPP officer finding at least one impaired driver.

At about 11:30 p.m. on Friday night officers with both police services had a R.I.D.E check set up on Wallace Terrace in Sault Ste Marie. As a result of the spot check officers arrested fifty five (55) year old Kenneth Jones of 25B Central Creek Drive in Sault Ste Marie.

He has been charged with one count of Operating a motor Vehicle while over the Legal Limit of .08. He will appear in Sault Ste Marie Court on Monday 09 January 2005.

Snow MAchine Operator Charged

Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,The operator of a snow machine was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with a violation after being stopped by an OPP Traffic and Marine officer on Northern Avenue in Sault Ste Marie.

The officer stopped the snow machine on Northern Avenue in the city at about 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. The operator the machine had a class G2 licence and had been drinking. A roadside breath test indicted that he was under the legal limit however a class G2 licence has a condition that the driver have no alcohol in his system.

Twenty five (25) year old Christopher McCubbin of Willow Avenue was charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
