Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,

A Goulais River man has been charged with a drinking and driving offence after he cut off the cruiser on Great Northern Road.

On Saturday night at about 7:00 p.m. an OPP cruiser operated by a member of the Traffic and Marine Unit was traveling on Great Northern Road in front on the beer store.
A pick up truck pulled out in front of the cruiser and the officer had to take evasive action in order not to hit the truck.

The truck was pulled over and the driver showed signs that he had been drinking. He was taken in for breath tests and he failed the Intoxalyer tests.

As a result of this investigation forty six(46) year old Gary DELANEY of Old Goulais Bay Road in Goulais River has been charged with Driving While over the Legal Limit.


ATV DRIVER CHARGED WITH DRIVING WHILE PROHIBITED

Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,

An officer with the OPP Traffic and Marine Unit has charged a Sault Ste Marie man for driving his ATV while under a court order not to drive.

On Friday night at about 8:00 p.m. the officer saw the ATV near the end of Frontenac Street . The driver went through the ditch and a passenger on the bike fell off the machine. The driver was under a court order for a conviciton under an Impaired Driving charge not to be driving.

Nineteen (19) year old Tyler SEGUIN of Frontenac Street in Sault Ste Marie has been charged with Driving While Disqualified and Driving Under Suspension.
