A single vehicle accident on Hwy 17 on Saturday night sent an entire Goulais River family to Sault and Area Hospitals.

On Saturday, at about 10:10 p.m. a vehicle was going down the Mile Hill on Hwy 17 in Heyden. The driver lost control of the vehicle on ice and the vehicle started to slid sideways. The vehicle slid across the highway and rolled over onto its roof. The vehicle ended up back on the highway blocking one lane.

Deborah and Greg Harrison and their two girls age five and two were taken to Sault and Area Hospitals by ambulance. They were treated for minor injuries and released.

Police are crediting the use of seat belts and child restraint seats for preventing further injuries.

No charges were laid in this accident
