Grow House Operation Dismantled

On Tuesday March 29th, 2005, at 7:37pm, officers of the Espanola OPP and the Drug Enforcement Unit executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act Warrant at a residence located at 9 Spooner Street in McKerrow.

Police seized the following:

179 Cannabis Marihuana plants
4337.8 grams of Cannabis Shake
1.5 grams of Cannabis Marihuana
Cannabis Marihuana Growing equipment

The total street value of the drugs seized is over $180,000.00

Charged with production of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act is Michael Daniel, age 37, of 9 Spooner Street in McKerrow.

This house was not being lived in and was being used solely as a grow house operation. Members of the public are reminded that if they suspect drug activity in their neighborhoods, to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
