HAWK JUNCTION MAN DIES IN CRASH (Wawa, ON) At approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 08, 3 km west of Sir. James Dunn Mine Road, Hwy 101, a westbound Neon left the roadway, rolled down the snow packed ditch and collided with a rock cut.

At approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 08, 3 km west of Sir. James Dunn Mine Road, Hwy 101, a westbound Neon left the roadway, rolled down the snow packed ditch and collided with a rock cut.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and sustained life-threatening injuries. First aid was given at the scene by passing motorists before police arrival.

The driver, 33-year-old Andrew Houston of Hawk Junction was taken to Lady Dunn Hospital and air lifted to Sudbury. During transit to Sudbury, he succumbed to his injuries.

OPP Identification and Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene and the investigation is continuing.
