On Oct. 5, 2018 at approximately 11:15 p.m. members from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment conducted a traffic stop on Lake Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
As a result of further investigation, Mathew Clement, 39 years old of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. was arrested and charged with the following:
- Care or control of a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Care or control of a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CC
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Nov. 5, 2018 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
