Threatening gets Man Arrested Blind River, Ont. On 01 Oct 06 at approximately 4:00 p.m. and officer was approached on the street while making a traffic stop and was threatened by a pedestrian.

Blind River, Ont.

On 01 Oct 06 at approximately 4:00 p.m. and officer was approached on the street while making a traffic stop and was threatened by a pedestrian.
While making the traffic stop the officer was approached by a man who was out on bail and threatened, the officers family was also threatened. When the officer inquired as to the nature of the mans ”beef” he was threatened again.

In an attempt to make the arrest a short foot pursuit led the pair to the mans house where a scuffle took place. The man had to be subdued by two officers while using a TASER.

Charged is: 48-year-old Michel Rene GAGNE of 5 Laborne St. Blind River, Ont.

GAGNE is charged with:

Breach of Probation, Obstruct Peace Officer X 2, Utter Threat to Cause Death X 2, Cause a Disturbance, Intimidation- Justice System participant, Assault with intent to resist Arrest and Disarming a Police Officer.

He was released on Bail and is scheduled to appear in Blind River court on 02 Nov.06

BREAK AND ENTER ON PARIS DRIVE

Elliot Lake, Ont.

Police are investigating another Break and Enter and Theft at a residence on Paris Drive in Elliot Lake.

Owners of the home left the residence October 3rd, 2006 and returned October 5th, 2006. Upon their return the victims noticed that someone had searched and moved items in their home. Police were called and investigation revealed that unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole an undisclosed amount of money and jewelry. Also missing from the residence were two Siamese cats, which may have gotten out through an open window.
