ROLLOVER COLLISION AND FIRE
Goulais River, Ont.,

A single vehicle rollover collision just after the supper hour last night sent two people to Sault and Area Hospital.

At about 7:00 p.m., a vehicle was northbound on Hwy 17 just north of Havilland Shores Drive. As the driver entered a sharp turn he lost control of the vehicle, slid across the highway and struck a rock cut. The vehicle rolled over several times and landed upside down on the travelled section of the roadway. The car caught on fire and was destroyed.

The two occupants managed to get out of the car before it was consumed by the fire. Both were taken to Sault and Area Hospital by ambulance and treated for minor injuries. The use of seat belts by both possibly saved their lives and certainly did result in the two only receiving minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, thirty four year old Terap Haggar of Montreal Quebec has been charged with Careless Driving.
