Pollari Update - 4 ½ Day Search Completed (Hilton, Twp. (St. Josephs Island)) East Algoma O.P.P. in conjunction with the Criminal Investigative Branch have completed a 4 ½ day search on St.
Pollari Update - 4 ½ Day Search Completed

(Hilton, Twp. (St. Josephs Island)) East Algoma O.P.P. in conjunction with the Criminal Investigative Branch have completed a 4 ½ day search on St. Joseph’s Island regarding the 2001 disappearance of then 14 –year-old Justin Pollari.

A huge area was searched with the Emergency response Team and Canine Unit with negative results. Forensics personnel that were on the scene have concluded their on-scene investigation.
The case remains open and under investigation by the East Algoma Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector John Horne.

Blind River Fight/Assaults

( Blind River, Ont.) East Algoma O.P.P. were kept busy last night with people wanting to fight.
Around 8:30 p.m. officers were called to 171 Leacock St. Apartment to a fight in progress. It was learned that a fight had broken out among persons in an apartment. When the situation had calmed down a person was alleged to have returned with a knife, threatening people from the first altercation.
When Police arrived the suspect fled on foot but was tracked down and arrested.
Charged is 20-year-old Tony MAJOR of 11 Mountain Glen Rd Blind River.
Major is charged with:
Cause Disturbance, Threatening X 2, Assault, Mischief, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public and Breach of Probation.
Major was held in custody for a bail hearing today in Sault Ste. Marie.

At approximately 1:45 a.m. Police were called to a fight at the Iron Horse Tavern in Blind River.
Police were advised that there was a person inside who wanted to fight everyone.
The patron was alleged to have given the bouncer a hard time when he attempted to remove the unruly patron.
Charged is 19-year-old Ryan Ross CHIBLOW of 113 West ST. Mississauga First Nation Territory.
Chiblow is charged with: 2 counts of Assault, Assault Police Officer, Resist Arrest, Cause Disturbance, and 2 counts of Mischief.

Chiblow was also kept in custody for a Bail hearing today in Sault Ste. Marie.
