NUSIANCE BEAR WITH ATTITUDE
Echo Bay, Ont.,

A homeowner in the 8700 area of Hwy 638 in Echo Bay has encountered a bear that really doesn?t care who owns what in his part of the woods.

On Wednesday night, at about midnight, a homeowner in that area woke to the sound of one of their windows being smashed. They had earlier seen a bear in and around the property and it appeared that the bear really didn?t seem too scared or concerned of humans.

On this night the bear was pawing at one of the basement windows and broke the window. The owners managed to make enough noise to scare the bear away from the house. As the owners started to investigate, they found what appeared to be smudge prints from the bears nose on several other windows around their home.

The owners advised police that they have been very careful disposing of their garbage and that they could find no food sources outside the house that the animal would be after.
