CLASSIC BIKE STOLEN Yesterday, the Sault O.P.P. responded to a reported theft of a woman's 6-speed Jeep Classic bike that was removed from a garage on Government Road in Echo Bay.

Yesterday, the Sault O.P.P. responded to a reported theft of a woman's 6-speed Jeep Classic bike that was removed from a garage on Government Road in Echo Bay.

The bike is described as olive green and cream in colour with chrome fenders and white wall tires. If you have any information, you are asked to call the O.P.P. or Crimestoppers.


BREAK-IN REPORTED
Yesterday the Sault O.P.P. was called to the Robertson Lake area where a camp was reported to have been entered by smashing a window. The owner resides in the Chicago area and has yet to attend and verify what, if anything, may have been taken.


STOLEN ITEMS
A homeowner in the Rupert Acres area is paying the price after leaving a 12-foot extension ladder and a set of car ramps leaning against a shed.

Yesterday, he reported the items had been stolen. The ladder is silver in colour with blue tips while the ramps are homemade and are quite rusted. If you have any information, you are asked to call the O.P.P.


DOG BITES BOY
The Sault O.P.P. is conducting an investigation of another dog bite complaint in the Goulais River area. A 9-year-old boy was bitten in the buttock area puncturing the skin and causing considerable bruising.

The boy had been playing in his own yard when the lab/greyhound mix entered. The boy was trying to get back into his house when he was bitten. He was later treated and released from Sault Area Hospital.

The dog's owner, a 23-year-old woman will appear in court at a later date to answer charges under the dog owner's liability act.


CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED
A vehicle stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation will cost a motorist an appearance in court to answer a criminal charge of impaired driving.

Yesterday at 3:50 p.m., Justin Cristillo, age 27 of Sault Ste. Marie, was pulled over and failed a roadside test. He will appear in court on September 8.
