Take Five Minutes !!!

( Blind River, Ont.) Winter has arrived. Most locations across Northern Ontario have been hit with substantial snowfall. When you are traveling anywhere in your vehicle take five minutes to clear off all the snow.

That means the roof, headlights, taillights, all windows and intake for your ventilation system and you licence plates.
Failure to do this could result in you losing visibility when the snow decides to move.
When you stop for any reason check to clear the tail lights again as snow will adhere to the rear of your vehicle obscuring you tail and brake lights leaving the driver behind you to only guess at what you are about to do.

Some vehicles do not have the headlights and taillights activated during daylight. Take the time to turn them all on so that you are visible from the front as well as the rear.
Drive safely and SLOW DOWN

Mischief to Store Window

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) - An early-morning or late-night culprit decided to break a window at the Spruce'n Foods Store on Central Ave.

The owner of the store had been plowing snow in his parking lot in the early morning hours allowing police to narrow down the time of the offence.

There are no clues as to where the fire extinguisher came from so far.
