ANOTHER FUEL TRUCK IN THE DITCH
Heyden, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a second fuel truck that went into a ditch this week.

Yesterday at about 8:30 a.m. a fuel truck was trying to back into a residential driveway on Hwy 17 near Hwy 556 in the Heyden area. One set of the rear wheels slipped off the driveway and into the ditch. The truck remained upright but stuck in the ditch.

A second fuel truck was called to the scene and the load of 1,600 liters of furnace oil was pumped from the first truck into the second. The disabled tanker truck was quickly removed from the ditch by a tow truck. There was no fuel spill, no damage and no charges in this incident.
