FATAL ACCIDENT NEAR WAWA A fatal motor vehicle accident occurred yesterday morning at 6:15 about 45 km south of Wawa. A southbound car with six persons swerved to avoid hitting a moose on the highway, went into the ditch and rolled.

A fatal motor vehicle accident occurred yesterday morning at 6:15 about 45 km south of Wawa. A southbound car with six persons swerved to avoid hitting a moose on the highway, went into the ditch and rolled. Four of the six people in the vehicle were ejected as a result.

Three adults are in critical condition in Sunnybrook Medical Centre and one infant is in serious but stable condition at the Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto.

A passenger, 29-year-old Danish Syed of Scarborough, died as a result of injuries sustained when he was ejected from the vehicle.

The accident is under investigation by officers from the Wawa detachment of the O.P.P. who are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the accident.
