Driver, 68, suffered ‘medical emergency’ right before fatal Hwy 17 crash

One person was killed yesterday afternoon in a collision at a business on Highway 17 in White River.

Superior East OPP responded to the single-vehicle crash shortly before 4 p.m. The 68-year-old driver from White River was pronounced dead.

"Investigation has determined the driver suffered a medical emergency immediately prior to the collision, which caused the vehicle to leave the roadway," says a news release issued by the OPP.
