Pedestrian struck, killed by car in southwestern Ontario

SOUTH HURON, Ont. — Provincial police say a pedestrian has died after being hit by a car north of London, Ont.

They say officers responded to the crash around 9 a.m. Tuesday near the community of Kirkton.

Police say a man was crossing the road when he was hit by a sedan.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the man's name will be released after his next of kin have been notified.
