Peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Sault Area
Hospital on Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Guido. Loving and
cherished mother of Larry (Betty Ann), Terry (Marlene), Phil (Kathie) and Tracy
Cavallo (Gino). Special Noni of Roberta Lynn (Al), Christina (Claude), Christopher
(Lori), Mark, Matthew (Sarah), Jennifer, Kimberly (Tomy) and Miranda. Great
grandmother of Matthew, Julia, Alexia and Ethan. Dear sister of Delchi Girardi
(Eva), Norma Capancioni (Essi), the late Gino Girardi (late Elena) and the late Aldo
Girardi (Theresa). Sister-in-law of the late Aldo and Elva Zuccato. Survived by many
nieces and nephews and her very special friends. Elsie was a long time member of the
Elettra Marconi Society Executive, a recipient of the EMS Attilio Orazietti
Achievement Award in 1987 and the recipient of the EMS Anna Bernardi Women of the
Year Award in 1998. Elsie also was a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society for
40 years. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday,
November 7, 2008 from 6-9 pm and on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 8:30 am until
9:30 am. Funeral mass to be celebrated from St. Veronica's Catholic Church on
Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 10 am. Father Ron Ambeault officiating. Interment Holy
Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or the New
SAH Fund would be appreciated by the family.
