Peacefully at the Van Daele Manor on Friday, October 27, 2006 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Gallo) for 53 years. Loving father of Terry Harpe (Michael). Predeceased by his parents Karel and Anna and brother Karel. Dear brother of Mary. Brother-in-law of Gloria Mandrish (Robert), the late Albin Gallo (Vivian) and the late Rhoda Farentino (late Anthony). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. At Laddie’s request there will be no visitation and funeral. Laddie will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors. Some of his happiest times were spent fishing or simply walking for hours with his camera taking beautiful photographs of the Algoma area. He had a deep fondness for animals and loved his many pets. He will also be greatly missed by Missy Too. Misty (his cat at Van Daele) and his grand dog Indy. Memorial contributions to the SSM Humane Society or to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Laddie’s family would like to thank the staff at Van Daele Manor for the wonderful care that they provided. We will never forget your kindness and support.
