WRAY, Madeline - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Madeline on Friday, January 12, 2024 after a long battle with dementia.

She is survived by her children Phil (Ann), the late Jim (Cathy), Judy (Rod), Cindy (late Mark) and Michael (Yeşim). Beloved grandmother to Kristi, Scott, Christina, Ruby and Emre. Predeceased by her husband Walter Wray and her partner Andy Glibota. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Madeline was a hardworking woman who was devoted to raising her 5 wonderful children. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, baking and cherished time with her friends. In her final years she enjoyed puttering around the garden, followed closely by her favourite four-legged friends Ted, Toby and Juno.

Grief lingers in the quiet corners of our souls,
awakened by the faintest whispers of memory,
a scent on the breeze, a note in a melody,
reminding us that love never truly leaves.

Thank you to all the staff at the Davey Home, especially the amazing caregivers on Apple 3 during her illness and those on Cedar Grove 2 for their care and kindness in her final days.

There will be no funeral service.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque may be made to Alzheimer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Northern Critters in Need or a charity of your choice in Madeline's honour. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Wray family.
