WILSON, Donald Lawrence

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with family at his side on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in his 84^th year. Beloved husband of the late Jean (nee Walker). Loving father of Donna Jean Ault (Randy) and Ken Wilson (Karen Weeks and her son Ryley Dimmer) of Black Diamond, Alberta. Special grandfather of Lynn Brown (Bill), Lori Zuccato (Christopher), Neil Wilson (Lindsay) of Calgary and Kevin Wilson (Meghann Conedera) of Salt Spring Island, B.C. Proud great papa of Ema and Cooper Brown, Gavin Zuccato and Nolan Wilson. Predeceased by infant son Lawrence Mark and his parents William H. and Gladys. Also predeceased by his brother Bill (late Phyllis) and sister Marg Sarlo (Don), mother-in-law and father-in-law Margaret and George Walker.  Brother-in-law of Norman Miller (late Donna). A celebration of Don’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church (corner of Cathcart and Brown St) on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 12 noon. Rev. Deon Slabbert officiating. Don retired in 1989 after serving 27 years with the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. Paul’s Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. Special thank you to the Emergency Services and caring staff at the Sault Area Hospital.
