Peacefully at the SAH on Thursday, December 6, 2007 in his 93rd year. Dear husband of the late Louise. Devoted father of Bob (Mary), John (Judy) and the late Ronald. Grandfather of Cameron, Christian, Michael (Jennifer), Clinton (Kara) and Charlie. Special great grandfather of David. Beloved brother of Pauline Taylor (late Jack) of Sarnia. Brother in law of the late Harry, Albert (Moon) and Fred (Mickey) Garrison. Survived by several nieces and nephews in Southern Ontario. Special friend of Red Nelson and family and Bill Patterson. Charlie was born in Sarnia on October 14, 1915 where he grew up, married then moved to the Sault in the 1930’s to work at Algoma Steel. He was a veteran, loved hunting and fishing, a past member of the Rod, Gun and Pistol Club, and the 34th Technical squadron where he attained the Rank of Regimental Sergeant Major. He was a devoted caregiver to our mother for many years. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, December 10, 2007 from 11 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Rev. Thom McDonough officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
